Speak of the devil! I just mentioned Dave Mirra in the last entry, and now here’s a vending machine from the Game Boy Color version of Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX.

BMX XXX
BMX XXX is for all those people who played a Dave Mirra or Mat Hoffman game and thought, “This needs more casual nudity!” This particular stage from the GameCube version seems to borrow from a similar level in Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3, but at least the soda machines are original!
Home Alone 2: Lost in New York
A small child, abandoned in a dangerous city and pursued by a pair of murderous criminals bent on revenge? Why, it’s the feel-good comedy of 1992! Take your mind off this alarming predicament with a refreshing soda pop in the DOS version of Home Alone 2.
The Genesis port also includes vending machines, but it’s unclear whether or not they sell soda. That said, there’s a bottle sitting on top of the one in this screenshot, and interacting with the machines restores Kevin’s health…so I’ll include it here for good measure.
Thanks, Duncan!
25 to Life
The image above is a promotional shot for 25 to Life. Below is the same location in the actual game.
If you’ll look closely, you’ll notice that the soda machines in the pre-release shot are different from what ended up in the game. Specifically, the soda machines in the game feature Vitaminwater branding, as seen below.
I’m guessing the soda machines in the promotional image were placeholders created prior to the Vitaminwater deal. You can check out a green version of the Vitaminwater machine from 25 to Life — and a Crunk energy drink vending machine — in the archive!
Criminal Case
My favorite thing about this drink machine from Criminal Case is the human skull just chilling out in the slot. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, though; there’s an ambulatory skeleton hiding on the subway platform in the screenshots below.
Blood II: The Chosen
What’s cooler than Cool Cola? Ice cold! Thanks for this screenshot from Blood II: The Chosen, Officer_Dan!
Dead Rising 2: Case Zero
As far as I can tell, the only place this soda machine from Dead Rising 2 appears is in the game’s Xbox Live exclusive prologue, Case Zero. [Source]
Cruel Games: Red Riding Hood
On the way to grandmother’s house and in need of refreshment? This vending machine from Cruel Games: Red Riding Hood offers a wide selection of hot and cold beverages!
The Duel: Test Drive II
Sure, there’s a cola machine at Crazy Al’s in the Macintosh version of Test Drive II, but I’m more curious about the idea of a gas station that sells car insurance.
The cola machine also appears in the SNES port.
Check out the DOS, Amiga, Atari ST, and Sega Genesis versions of Test Drive II in the archive!
Street Rod
That’s a fine looking Coke machine in front of Gus’ Gas in the DOS version of Street Rod. It’s a bit more abstract in the Commodore 64 port.
The Amiga version is already in the archive.
Beavis and Butt-Head in Virtual Stupidity
Beavis and Butt-Head in Virtual Stupidity features this vending machine in front of the Food Mart. I’m pretty sure those are cans of soda on the second row from the top. Here’s another view from a cutscene…
Country Justice: Revenge of the Rednecks
Fight zombies, rescue your cousin Ellie May’s prize pig, and maybe throw back a soda or two in Country Justice: Revenge of the Rednecks!
My Hero
Karate kick these color-coordinated crooks and clear a path to the cola machine in My Hero, a 1985 Sega arcade brawler!

Zombie Grinder
Initially, I was disappointed that Zombie Grinder wasn’t a game about a reanimated hoagie, but then I found this sweet Dr. Soda machine!
