While we’re on the subject of Red Steel, here are a couple of soda machines from the first game in the series. Thanks for the heads-up, Alex!

Face the facts: sword slashing and gun blazing can leave you parched. Luckily, Red Steel 2 for the Wii has you covered with these soda machines!

Archeos, an AdventureJam 2017 finalist, features this ancient soda machine that dispenses a single can of “coca.” Thanks for digging this one up, Amayirot Akago!

I appreciate games that are thoughtful enough to put their soda machines right on the title screen like Mat Hoffman’s Pro BMX 2. Thanks for finding this one, Darren!
The original Mat Hoffman’s Pro BMX also features vending machines, but there’s a catch. The (fizzy?) logo on the machine appears to read “Choco.” Is it soda? Chocolate milk? Some unholy combination of the two? Until Mat Hoffman weighs in with an answer, I’ll just leave the screenshot here.

Gungage for the PlayStation 1 continues a fine video game tradition of soda machines in subway levels. [Source]

Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko for the PlayStation 1 — come for the soda machine, stay for the Paula Abdul/chiropractor wordplay! [Source]

Mario Tennis: Power Tour for the Game Boy Advance has a weird story mode set at a tennis academy — and, of course, there’s a soda machine.

Detective Brent Halligan dashes toward a soda machine in The Mystery of the Druids! I think the real mystery here is whether the developers bothered to license the Coca-Cola logo on that machine. Someone should call Scotland Yard.
Thanks for the screenshot, Alex!
Blizzard announced its new Horizon Lunar Colony map an hour ago, and Totes Tracetastic already found these soda machines! It’s a familiar model from previous maps, but the paint job is all new for the moon base.

A tipped-over soda machine from WinBack: Covert Operations for the N64!
Hey, whaddaya know? The PS2 version below features a totally different soda machine model. [Source]

If I were making a game called Industrial Spy: Operation Espionage, one of the levels would be an elaborate heist to steal the secret recipe for Coca-Cola. In this case of this Dreamcast title, though, we’ll have to settle for the developers including a soda machine. Thanks, foone!

It’s a “Spite” soda machine from Scud: The Disposable Assassin, a Sega Saturn game about a robot assassin purchased from a vending machine. Thanks for finding this one, Darren!
Oh, and while it’s not technically a soda machine, here’s a shot of the vending machine that dispenses our robot protagonist.

Dino Crisis claims this vending machine dispenses “nutritional drinks,” but those look an awful lot like sodas to me. Thanks, Darren!
