What’s that? Oh, just a couple of modern-day criminals dressed up like pirates and hanging around a soda machine in Dynamite Cop.

I’m proud to induct the first augmented reality soda machines into the Video Game Soda Machine Project. What a time to be alive! Thanks for the screenshot, @StuartForbes!

Why not take a break from hacking reality in Else Heart.Break() and enjoy an ice cold soda? Thanks, Hans!
UPDATE (2026): Fellow soda machine enthusiast Maxwell reached out with some additional details about just how important soda machines are in else Heart.Break()!
In a world where “bits have replaced atoms,” players can reprogram drinks to give anyone who consumes them boosts to things like speed and charisma. The catch? The more powerful the effects, the faster the drink runs out. But that’s where the vending machines come in! By hacking a machine, players can create cans of Coke containing absurd amounts of liquid (for instance, a million ounces), effectively giving themselves an unlimited supply of whatever enhancements they’ve programmed into the drink.
The game’s protagonist even starts out as a soda sales rep, making all this soda-related hacking even more fitting. Thanks for the context, Maxwell!
